Redhill Members – busy around the Area 4th June

A number of members went to Sherwood Archers Double  WA70, 60, 50,

Neill G, Steve V, Matt V, Jack & Ian Middleton all shot well  but not good enough

Meantime another group headed off to Wyre forest Company of Archers Annual Western

Paul Medhurst was Winner of Gents Longbow with 401 ( Thanks to Henry NOT shooting)

Gordon Philipps won Barebow with a score of 599 –

Katie & Amy won their age groups and Charlie had a second Place  all with great scores.

Sharon and Sheila both ably supported our team , which only came from western so we had a longbow, Barebow, a recurve and a compound, which as you can imagine could not beat WF’s 2rec and 2 Comp scores . We must get more recurves there next year.

Well done everyone.

Don’t forget to take banners next time and then send photos

FROSTBITE – last of the season

Well done to all who turned out this morning 12th March
for our last Frostbite of the season.
Scores were the best of the season, and for some teams could make all that difference, and give us our best chances of getting some wins
Well Done to Ian with top score compound with 347
Keith won the recurves with 331 and Jack won the Junior 286
We only had just the numbers needed to fill all the teams, and I ask if you want this event to carry on then please let me know, especially if you missed the shoot today.

A good week’s shooting!

Great to see 38 People shooting  on Thursday.

Some stand out performances from The Juniors. Well done Katie, William and Afsha for breaking handicaps.

The seniors did well too with Liz D and Samm showing improvement.

Full results are on the website together with handicap changes.

Don’t forget the Frostbite on Sunday!

Shooting Report

Six handicap improvements this week and Matt is at it again!

Well done to Adam and Roger Smith who have both got their first handicaps.

In the Postal League sections of the website you will see the results of the Junior and Longbow Shoots in the Portsmouth League.

Top Longbow score this month was Paul Medhurst. Ten people shot and  three archers were within three points fighting for the third place in the team.

Don’t forget the Frostbite on Sunday !

Shooting Report 8/1/17

Chris, Gordon, Matt, Mike Podmore, Simon, Sheila, Dave Moore and Samm all improved their handicaps this week.

The Compound teams did well in the league shoot on Thursday

The recurve teams did less well !

I have posted our individual scores for this week on the website but have not updated the results sheet for December as I am still awaiting several results from the opposition.

I have also updated the Club Handicap Competition Table. Please check them either online or in Park Hall on Thursday.

Fundraise while you shop online

ef-logo-01

It has come to my attention that the website does not mention the fact that you could have been raising money for Redhill Archers whilst doing your Christmas shopping online.

So prepare NOW

Register at EasyFunding and the retailers make a donation when you shop – it doesn’t change the amount you pay.

These are then paid to the Club.  In December we received £32.12

Follow the link below –

Remember fundraising keeps the subs low

You don’t need to wait for Christmas  – you can book your holiday now.

Sheila is the best shopper we’ve got but could you do better in 2017?
