Well done to everyone who took part in the Club Champs on Sunday 17th September ,
26 Members turned out to take part , which was a reasonable number when we look at the history, but quite poor when you consider that membership is now around 100. Are there any reasons, which we can change to ensure a better turnout for 2018
Please find attached the basic results sheet so you can study it before the Dinner and ensure , you are there to receive any earned rewards.
If for any reason you know you are to receive a trophy and cannot attend event, please can you ask someone to collect on your behalf, to ensure all trophies are presented on the night.
At March Hare Field course, on Saturday 23rd September . Well done to everyone who took part – probably our best turn out at a field event, Please note , results were adjusted by a % to equalise bow type. Compounds were reduced by 15% while , Longbows were increase by 50% . WE make NO adjustments relating to performance. Juniors were allowed to shoot more arrows at closer targets depending on age.
So many members welcomed the opportunity to try Field shooting and an chance to win our Field Trophy and at the same time earn points for the Victor Ludorum>
Attached below is our results , Our congratulations go to Mike Podmore , this years winner, to Linda Haines top recurve score, and to Charlie Medhurst top Junior.
A number of members went to Sherwood Archers Double WA70, 60, 50,
Neill G, Steve V, Matt V, Jack & Ian Middleton all shot well but not good enough
Meantime another group headed off to Wyre forest Company of Archers Annual Western
Paul Medhurst was Winner of Gents Longbow with 401 ( Thanks to Henry NOT shooting)
Gordon Philipps won Barebow with a score of 599 –
Katie & Amy won their age groups and Charlie had a second Place all with great scores.
Sharon and Sheila both ably supported our team , which only came from western so we had a longbow, Barebow, a recurve and a compound, which as you can imagine could not beat WF’s 2rec and 2 Comp scores . We must get more recurves there next year.
Well done everyone.
Don’t forget to take banners next time and then send photos
Well a good turnout and our first Double 1 way clout , so look out for your classifications for this round.
Well done to all the Chocolate winners , although not sure Dave didn’t have some favourites. bunny clout 2v017 17th April
Well done to all who turned out this morning 12th March
for our last Frostbite of the season.
Scores were the best of the season, and for some teams could make all that difference, and give us our best chances of getting some wins
Well Done to Ian with top score compound with 347
Keith won the recurves with 331 and Jack won the Junior 286
We only had just the numbers needed to fill all the teams, and I ask if you want this event to carry on then please let me know, especially if you missed the shoot today.
