Membership
Membership Information
The club has approximately 100 members shooting at club, county and international levels.
All members have to be belong to ArcheryGB our governing body and be affiliated to County and Regional Associations,
Members may shoot on the field or in the range at any time (subject to safety restrictions)
Our Club nights are Tuesday’s and Thursdays ( Juniors Monday) and these are nights we hold both internal and external competitions. We also hold club and Open competitions on selected weekends. You will miss out if you are unable to attend these sessions.
As a members club, we expect members to help keep our building and equipment clean and maintained, the club administration up to date and club events running smoothly. Members are asked to help in this work by taking responsibility for suitable tasks and joining work parties whenever they can.
We hold regular social events, open competitions and community events. These raise funds, promote the club and foster our club spirit. Supporting these is an important aspect of membership
What next?
The club has an open and inclusive attitude to membership.
We have a membership limit and therefore there may be times when our membership is full. If this is the case vacancies occur sporadically or when subscriptions are renewed in April.
We can only consider those who are experienced archers as evidenced by current or recent membership of ArcheryGB (or other archery governing bodies) or by those who have attended an approved Beginners Course with us or another qualified organisation. If you do not have this evidence you will need to attend a beginners course. Apply here
For safety and insurance purposes we need to see this evidence and observe you shooting.
We invite those interested in joining us to visit and shoot with us on a number of occasions as a visitor which will enable you to see what we have to offer, meet people, and make sure our club is suitable for you. A visitor’s fee will be charged but will be refunded should you later join the club. If you are not a current ArcheryGB member you will shoot ‘under tuition’ at all times. An initial visit will be arranged with you when we receive your expression of interest (see panel to the right).
Membership is at the discretion of the committee and on payment of the fees.
Junior members, under 18 years of age are welcome and we have a growing and thriving junior section. Juniors under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible adult at all times. We cannot consider Juniors under the age of 8 years of age.
The membership information above is the same for Juniors other than that their club night is Monday
The park belongs to the members of Wythall Community Association and all Redhill Archers members also become members of the Association. Membership of Wythall Community Club (the bar facilities) can be arranged via the Treasurer.
Our membership is currently full. However expressions of interest in membership from experienced archers are still welcome and if you are an ArcheryGB member you could still shoot with us as a visitor until we have a vacancy. Please read the information “Interested in becoming a member?” before completing the form below
If you have not belonged to a Target Archery Club before, or have not completed an ArcheryGB recognised course of instruction please see our beginners page
